And the verdict is

We had quite the adventure last night and today. I had taken off from Marmarth around 5:50, headed to Bowman to play volleyball. Thankfully I slowed down to 45 mph going through Rhame, I sped up going out of town and spun out and ended up backwards in the ditch on the wrong side of the road. Some kind women stopped and picked me up and took me to one of their houses to call Neil, who I was hoping to catch before he left headed to Bowman to pick me up. I got a hold of him and he went and got a tow rope and him and Kynlie were on their way to find me. Thankfully, nothing happened to me or the pickup, which was a blessing as I was about a foot away from side swiping a road sign. I hung out at the bar with the ladies that picked me up until we thought Neil would be getting close, then we sat on an approach and waited for him. He got me pulled out and we were on our way.
Kynlie had got so upset with us getting in and out of the pickup that she projectile vomited all over herself and the pickup, so I took her out of her clothes and put her in her jammies. Since we were only staying one night and she has been doing good not puking, I only packed the one pair of jammies for her- big mistake. She drank all of her pediasure, then puked it all up, all over her jammies and blankets. Needless to say, we had a very stinky ride to Dickinson, Bismarck and back!
She had an appointment with the ENT in Dickinson and after hearing her ear infection history, 4 in the last 6 months,  thought that tubes were the way to go. We have surgery scheduled for Tuesday! He asked us a bunch of questions about her development,  if she was walking or talking yet and we said no. He went over to his computer and typed a bunch of stuff, then said he wanted us to see an audiologist because he thought she may have some hearing problems and speech delays.
We went to the audiologist and he ran 3 tests on Kynlie's ears. For one of them, he put a device in each ear, one ear at a time and checked the ear drum, the next test they put a device in her ear, again, one at a time and sent different noises into her ear and the device checked whether her ear was sending signals back. The third test he did, he had Neil take Kynlie into a sound proof room and had him sit between two speakers and two tv screens. The Dr. would talk or send noises into one speaker and if Kynlie looked the direction of the speaker, a little cartoon showed up on the tv screen. She passed all 3 tests with flying colors. I was thinking as we were walking out of the audiologist's office that the ENT was not adjusting her age and for 15 months, she is speech delayed, but she is only 11 months- adjusted and is right on track.
After we got her surgery scheduled, we headed to Bismarck. We got to town, ate drive through lunch, got our Target shopping done and went to Kynlie's appointment. She weighed 17 lbs and was 28 1/2" long, which is the 25 and 75 percentile respectively. Dr. Ocejo was more than pleased with her weight gain and told us to keep doing whatever we were doing. He doesn't want us to push her too much to eating solids because he said she needs to keep gaining weight and getting caught up, eating solids will come with time. We do feed her whatever we are eating but she'll spit a lot out and what she does eat, she chews on forever. He said she is getting her molars in, which would explain the buckets of drool that have been running out of her mouth. I talked to him about her constipation and he suggested putting a mild laxative in her juice in the morning every day to keep her regular. He also looked at her hemangioma, which is quickly getting smaller, but it has had some funny spots in it lately, little red bumps, and yellowish wart looking things. He said they are ulcers and wants us to put a salve on it 3-4 times a day to keep it soft as it dries up. He said if we don't, it will scab and fall off- as scabs do- but it will bleed uncontrollably since it is just blood vessels and could be a bad deal! I told him about her appointment with the ENT and he agreed with the tubes verdict 100 percent. He said 4 in a year is too many infections. He explained it in a little more detail than the actual ENT did, which is just how Dr. Ocejo is and part of the reason I continue to drive to Bismarck for Kynlie's appointments. He also said that she is not delayed in any ways as far as speech or hearing. He made me a little nervous when he was looking at Kynlie's eyes, he kept shining his light back and forth to her eyes, then asked how long it had been since we had seen Dr. L. He said he noticed she was a little cross eyed but said that he thinks that it is just Pseudostrabismus. Which is caused by her immature nose and folds of skin by her eyes, which is what Dr. L said last time we saw him too. He did suggest we see Dr. L a little sooner than Dr. L had said so I'll call on Monday and see if we can get her appointment set up.
Other than that, we made it home with NO vehicles in the ditch on our part, one vomit incident today, which just added to the putrid smell already in my pickup, and a happy mom and dad, hearing that Kynlie is doing so well.
Back to Dickinson on Tuesday for surgery:(
