Memoral Day Weekend

Every Memorial Day weekend, Neil's family heads to Terry, MT to go camping and fishing on the Yellowstone River. It is absolutely beautiful there, it is quiet, laid back and relaxing. It was a little different this year as none of the older generation were camping. Neil's dad is hunting in Argentina, his mom was on call and his other two uncles and an aunt came on Saturday for the day.

Cruising on the 4 wheeler with dad
Kynlie got to go on a 4 wheeler ride with Neil when we went to check set lines, she thought it was pretty cool and didn't even mind wearing her helmet. She liked the fish and wanted  to feel them, which honestly kind of grossed me out, but, I let her do it!
Walking through the wood for the fire

Kynlie LOVED camping, minus the campfire smoke. Her nose is still runny and her eyes are pretty puffy. She would take anyone's finger that would take her walking and walk all over the place. Her balance amazed me as she was walking through the tall grass, over rocks and over the wood that we had gathered for the fire. It was chilly out Saturday but she wanted to be outside as much as she could.
Eating S'mores
Aunt Connie shared her s'more with Kynlie and she got a little marshmallow all over her face. It was a great weekend considering the weather, it was windy and cool Saturday and rained all afternoon on Sunday, then through Monday. It amazes me that this family won't let a little weather stop them from enjoying their weekend. The guys played frisbee golf in the rain, the kids drove the 4 wheelers all over, then they would stop by the campfire to warm up for a couple minutes.

Sunday evening we fried the fish we had caught for supper, which was delicious and played a few games of cards. We packed up camp on Monday and headed home.

No matter how fun camping is, it is always so nice to be home, take a looooooooong hot shower and sleep in your comfy bed.

I promise I will be better about posting more often, it has just been so rainy and cold here that we have not done ANYTHING. Next weekend Kynlie and I are headed to Dayton, WY for a celebratory BBQ for my brother getting a job teaching at the Wyoming Girl's School in Sheridan. We are all very excited for Jordan and Ashley that he got the job as they were really hoping something would come up for him down there because they love the area. There hadn't been many jobs open up anywhere where both of them could teach in the same area.
