September

Kynlie started her second year of preschool the beginning of September at Toybox Preschool. I also got her signed up in Piano lessons once a week, she LOVES it!
We have been going to story time at our Public Library. They read a few books and have a fun craft for the kids to do.
Lots of hours have been put in on the new house. All the walls are up trusses ordered and working on finalizing lots of other materials. I am so beyond excited to be in this house and out of town!
We had gotten tickets to see Kat Perkins in August then the show was rained out and rescheduled for the first weekend in Sept so Kynlie, Connie and I went over Sunday afternoon. If you get a chance, Kat puts on an amazing show.
Little Miss Locklyn was lucky enough to be able to get into a small preschool class twice a week. She absolutely loves it. She finally has something that is hers, Kynlie was a little upset she didn't get to go with Locklyn to class but now she's enjoying a little mommy time to herself
The kids have been spending lots of time at grandma and poppy's while we are working on the house. I snapped this picture of Kynlie that I think is just beautiful. I can't believe she is almost 5
Max loves dirt. Feeling it, eating it, breathing it. We do have nice dirt at the place but he takes his obsession a little too far!
The girls have a very interesting sense of style. I let them express it at home but have to approve before we leave the house!
Probably the biggest feat this month is shown in the picture below. Up until this last week, Max had slept no where but in someone's arms or in my bed- his choice, and still nursing every 1 1/2-3 hours, making sure if he wasn't snuggles right next to me that his hand was on me. We started sleep training him on Wednesday. Neil and the girls were sleeping downstairs so they didn't have to listen to him scream all night. He screamed until 2 am when I finally gave in and put him in bed with me, but I didn't let him nurse at all during the night, he put himself to sleep. The next night he cried for an hour and a half while holding on to my hand through the crib rails. He fell asleep holding my hand! He didn't wake up at all that night. Friday got a little better, Saturday was a little worse. Sunday he didn't have to hold my hand but I had to be in the room, Monday I woke up with the heart sinking feeling every mom knows, the one you have when you wake up the first time your baby sleeps through the night and you realize you haven't heard from them. You jump out of bed and run into their room as fast as you can to look and make sure they are breathing. Last night he put himself to sleep within 1/2 hour  and slept all night. He did wake up at 5 and 6 but put himself back to sleep within minutes of waking up. I am SHOCKED at how little time this took to get this stubborn boy out of our bed. I do miss his sweet snuggling but it sure is nice getting a full nights' sleep!
