We have been on the go these past few weeks. Besides the last 3 Mondays of doctor appointments, we went to Red Lodge, MT last Friday night for a few hours of skiing. Neil and his cousin Darren took the girls on the mountain Saturday morning. They LOVED it!
We went back to Billings and the girls and Neil did a little swimming, just in time to shower and get ready to go to Disney Live at the Metra! The girls weren't as into Disney as I thought they would but they had fun.
On the way to eat, Locklyn fell asleep and we successfully got her from the car to Red Lobster without waking her up, back to the car, into the hotel and a dry pullup on, all with her sleeping!
Needless to say, she was up at 5:30 Sunday morning, after I finally got Max to sleep at 2:30, mama was a little tired on Sunday.
The kids and I were planning on going to Dickinson to stay with my cousin as Max had to be in Bismarck by 9 am Monday morning for his 2 week NICU follow up appt. All the roads in ND were closed, except the area I had to drive in so I opted to not go to Dickinson in case things got bad everywhere and try and reschedule Max's appt for Tuesday as I had my 4 week postpartum appointment Monday afternoon.
I called to reschedule his appointment but they only do NICU follow ups on Mondays so they got him in at 2:00 CST instead of 10.
I loaded up the kids and east we went. One of our friends that just recently moved to Dickinson was nice enough to keep the girls so just Max and I went to Bismarck.
He weighed 10 lb 3 oz and was 22 1/4" long. He had a suture in his belly button from his UAC/UVC that they left in when we left because they thought it was just the remainder of his umbilical cord that the doctor pulled out. She gave him some Zantac for his puking as he just kept getting worse and fussier. It has helped quite a bit as he will actually let me put him down without crying now! He is sleeping much better since he got on the medicine too. Dr B said he looks great and there is no reason for him to need to be seen at the neonatology clinic anymore so now he will just have his routine well baby checks in Dickinson.
We pulled into the parking lot in Dickinson 2 minutes before my appt was scheduled! Dr A had told me during my cesearean that my uterine wall was getting very thin around my vertical incision from Kynlie's birth, so I chatted with him about that a little more . He said if I would get pregnant again it would be a high risk pregnancy because of the thinning. He said there is a greater chance of uterine rupture if the baby would get big again or if I would have many contractions. That could be deadly for the baby and/or me. Neil and I decided that we have 3 healthy kids at home, 3 of our 4 kids were born VERY sick and fragile, from completely different complications, we will stop while we are ahead!
Kynlie is loving preschool and goes to tumbling on Friday mornings which she loves. She is always making up new songs and singing and dancing around the house.
Locklyn has the funniest little personality and has started singing and dancing along with big sis. She loves holding Max and gets mad when I am feeding him and won't let her hold him.
