Why is Kynlie wearing a little boy's outfit? Because every time she goes out to my mom & dad's house, she has a massive diaper blowout and she had already wore all of her cousin Lincoln's outfits that looked gender neutral! I keep forgetting to put a spare outfit in her diaper bag so luckily Lincoln shares!
She stayed awake all day when Ken & Gina watched her while I was at the Health Fair, she must've known that they would be moving soon and wanted to get in all the time with them she could. She was very sleepy when she came home that night so she took a nap on her daddy.
Sorry all the pictures are of her sleeping but I couldn't resist snapping this shot of her sleeping with her big belly hanging out. She'll love this one in 15 years!
On Monday, she had an eye appointment with Dr. G in Bismarck. He said that everything looks great in her left eye and that he is not longer concerned that she will have to have another surgery to sew the spot down where there was blood during the initial surgery. We also found out that he is going to be done in 3 weeks. She will see Dr. L, the doctor that saw her in the NICU up until she had to have surgery. One nice thing will be that he goes to Dickinson so hopefully we won't have to continue to go to Bismarck once a month from now on.
We have been doing great around our house, Kynlie has started getting up in the night for another feeding, but we just sleep in a little longer in the morning to make up for it. She weighs 9 lb 8 oz. She is still in newborn diapers but wears mostly 0-3 month clothes. She is super smiley in the morning and usually crabby at night, before bed. It is awesome staying home with her, I wouldn't trade it for the world.
We are going to skip my brother's graduation ceremony and do the March for Babies walk in Dickinson. We appreciate everyone's donations towards reaching our goal, this is a cause that truly means a lot to us. March of Dimes created a lung surfactant that was use in Kynlie's lungs when she was days old that saved her life. When people say that preemie's lungs are not developed, that is not actually the case. Their lungs are mostly developed, they don't make the surfactant needed to keep their lungs intact and inflated.
