A couple of weeks ago, we all had eye appointments. Neil for his PRK surgery, his eyes look great, Kynlie for her surgery follow up, her eyes look great, the right eye still turns out a little when she's tired but doc is not concerned her vision is getting worse though so we are not too happy about that. We did get her some hew glasses without the nose piece hoping she would wear them a little more. So far, she likes them! I had a routine eye exam and in North Dakota they do a "Baby See" appointment where they do a free eye exam on babies 6-12 months old so we got Locklyn in. She is a little near sighted but nothing worth being concerned about and she doesn't need to be seen again until she is 3.

Potty training is going pretty well, if we remind Kynlie to go every hour she'll stay dry all day, still working on getting her to tell us she needs to go. We are going to try a reward chart and see if it will motivate her a little to tell us she has to go.
Kynlie's speech is doing amazing. She is saying 10-15 new words a day, speaking in pretty clear full sentences and getting more accurate with her words she is saying. She makes me so proud of how well she is doing.
She has also turned into a nudist. I told her she can't run around naked all the time and she just asked "Why?" I said they have colonies for that and she just gave me a blank look, but she'll get it some day! Every day last week, when I went up to check on her at nap time, she was in her bed, sleeping naked. I decided letting her sleep was more important than any mess she may make without her pullup on, but she has stayed dry so far!

Kynlie's great sense of fashion |
Locklyn is SOooo close to crawling, she'll take off any day. She is a busy little girl and doesn't stay put in one place for too long. She's sleeping through the night, eating 3 baby food meals a day and babbles constantly. She's got 2 teeth on the top and 2 on the bottom with two more coming in on top. She is still the sweetest baby ever.

Neil and Kynlie made cookies the other night, she picked out his apron! |
The end of July we took in the Relay for Life event in Baker. Neil's mom is one of the chairpersons for the relay and they put in a lot of hours preparing for the awesome event. We are so proud of Linda for all her dedication and hard work for the relay. Her hard work shows with Fallon County raising around $109,000 for American Cancer Society.
