WAY Behind

Once again, I am a few weeks behind on the blog, when you are finished reading this post, you will know why!

Kynlie's eyes continued to heal great, she had a 1 week check up on Wednesday, April 4, which is where things got crazy. Her eye doctor had said she may not need to be seen in a week so we weren't planning on going down to Rapid, I called his receptionist on Tuesday to see if we needed to go down and when she asked if we had any concerns, I told her that Kynlie's left eye sometimes turns out now. She said the doctor would want to see Kynlie, so the girls and I headed to Rapid City at nap time on Tuesday.
Now I see where she gets her pretty smile from!

Mowing with daddy is fun
We stayed with our friends Jen and Joe, Joe and Kynlie were NICU roomates in Bismarck and I have kept in touch with Jen since the kiddo's have been discharged. The doc checked Kynlie's eyes and said that preemies, especially those that have had a lot of work done on their eyes, their retinas don't develop in the center of their eye so that's why Kynlie's eye turns out a little, I honstly didn't understand exactly what he was saying and will ask the eye doc in Bismarck as he explains things a lot better. He said we didn't need to patch Kynlie's eye anymore and that she should get some glasses. We went out and got the glasses ordered and were on our way, not home, but to Bozeman, MT.
Watching big sis dye Easter eggs

For Christmas, Neil's parents gave the family a trip to Big Sky over Easter weekend to go skiing and have some great family time together. They were all coming on Thursday so instead of driving for 5  days straight,  (Medora golfing Sunday, speech in Dickinson Monday, Rapid  on Tuesday, Home on Wed, and Big Sky on Thursday) we went from Rapid to Bozeman, a 7 hour trip. Kynlie was AWEFUL the whole trip, I am surprised my hair is not completely grey from  all the screaming. She screamed for 6 of the 7 hours, the ony hour of peace and quiet was the 1 hour nap she took on the way.

We hung out with my sister and the boys Thursday and met Neil at 4 corners about 9:30 Thursday night and went to the cabin at Big Sky. By time we got checked in and settled down, it was nearly 1 am. We got up the next morning and went skiing, Lee and Linda kept the girls at the cabin and I would just ski down every 3 hours to feed Locklyn. We had an amazing time, ate great food prepared by Neil's dad and got some great family time in. Kynlie loved the hot tub, cooking with grandpa and she got some skiing done herself!
The smile says it all, she loves helping grandpa!
We went to Easter church in Big Sky, went and skiied some more, ate a great Easter supper and played some games.
An intense game of dice!

Kynlie got a kick out of watching a video of herself skiing on my phone!

The girls after church on Easter

Grandpa and Locklyn watching Kynlie ski
We packed up Sunday morning and headed home, but the girls and I stayed in Bozeman with Ken, Gina and the boys. Kynlie continued to be aweful, she whined and screamed at me the whole week. It would've been fun if I could have had a second of not being whined at. We did do some fun things, we packed a picnic and ate at the Dinosaur park, went swimming at Bozeman Hot Springs, went to the college rodeo and Ken was nice enough to watch the big kids so Gina and I could go shopping to spend my gift cards I got for Christmas.
Kynlie was ready to go swimming
We headed home on Friday morning, got a few hours at home on Friday and Saturday. Sunday, we had planned on being at home, but Lee needed some help and we ended up hanging out in his game room all day watching the progress being made. Kynlie's glasses were here when we got home so she's been wearing them around, she does very well keeping them on, but she does like to take them off every once in a while. I don't have any pictures on my camera yet, but I'll get some on here soon of how cute she looks in them.

The pics are way out of order here but they are a recap of our last 2 weeks.
Kynlie wanted to wear my belt, it was wrapped around her twice!

Monday morning, we had to go to the dentist in Bowman, and Gina went home, without her boys. They are staying the week with us and my mom and dad. They have been great to have around and it has been great for Kynlie 's speech, she is saying new words daily!
The family on Easter
Mom and I are taking the boys back on Friday, then going to Mama Mia in Bozeman on Saturday, it should be a great time!
